Greetings from the Head of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry Division
Inorganic and Physical Chemistry Division is considered as the largest research and teaching division structured under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Our division has been accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) since 2014 and we are responsible to host, educate and facilitate undergraduate (S1) and graduate students (S2 and S3) pursuing study and research program in the field of inorganic and physical chemistry. This division is also functioned to develop the advancement of science and technology and to help the chemical industries solving their problems in relation to the knowledge of inorganic and physical chemistry. The inorganic and physical chemistry continue to provide the ground for the evolution of the enormous areas of chemistry. It concerns the chemistry of elements and their compounds other than those carbons that is included in the field of organic chemistry. However, various chemistry subjects involve within the inorganic and physical chemistry and these are silica, carbon nanotube, solid-state chemistry, polymer chemistry, biochemistry, bioinorganics, organometallics, energy-related chemistry, electrochemistry, corrosion chemistry, computational chemistry, spectroscopy, homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis.
